Acousto-Magnetic (AM)

The Ultra•Lane Pedestal – specifically developed for supermarket checkout aisles or narrow doorways – features Sensormatic AM EAS technology to provide up to 1.8 m (5 ft 10 in) of protection between pedestals. Each pedestal is equipped with integrated visual and audible alarms to notify store assistants if protected merchandise passes through the detection zone. Multiple installation options include fitting to either side of a checkout counter, a railing post, or directly onto the door frame. When using a Sensormatic Ranger Receiver, this system can also be mounted to the side of an opposing counter. An optional system-configured feature is Jammer Detection. This software triggers a pedestal alarm as soon as an electronic signal from a jammer device is detected, helping to eliminate the threat of wouldbe thieves using this method
