Metal Foil Detection identifies ‘boosters’, foil-lined bags or clothing commonly used in Organised Retail Crime, when entering/ exiting the store. When a ‘booster’ is detected, an audible or visual alarm alerts store personnel. The optional Metal Foil Detection card simply plugs into the compatible AMS9060 Controller, no external enclosure or wiring required. It features multiple custom alerts such as visual and audible alarms at the pedestal and a digital remote alarm, or triggering a relay that connects to another device such as a paging system. Unlike competitors’ offerings, Metal Foil Detection does not require additional antennas to operate – optimising retail floor space and preserving store aesthetics.
